Read Aloud 15 MINUTES  is a national campaign to encourage parents and caregivers to read to their children daily, for the many educational and developmental benefits that reading brings. The goal of Read Aloud is to make reading aloud, for at least 15 minutes a day, the national standard in child care. 

National partners include the ALA, as well as Campaign for Grade Level Reading, Reach Out and Read, the National Center for the Book, the Collaborative Summer Library Program, First Book, and others. Each year in March, July, and October, Read Aloud provides materials for targeted social media campaigns. The theme for October 2016 is "Let's Talk: The Perfect Time is NOW."
