Early Childhood Literacy certificate program

Library Juice Academy is offering an online Early Childhood Literacy Certificate program for library staff at any level.

Whether you work directly with children in the library, or want to learn more about early literacy to help you better serve your community, this certificate program offers key information on child development and early literacy and activities to put it into practice in your own situations and environments. It is designed for staff in public and school libraries to add to your knowledge and as a means of recognition of knowledge in this area.

Participants choose and complete six out of eleven 4-week courses, with a maximum of 30 people per class. Classes will be taught by Saroj Ghoting, Lynn Baker, Claudia Haines, and Katie Cunningham Scherrer. The courses will be held sequentially through 2018. Registration for each course is $175.

These courses can also be taken individually if you want to learn more about early literacy but not to participate in the certificate program.
